Although recognition is vastly growing, the shadow self is generally ignored and suppressed.

A few years ago I faced some forms of my shadow self and although the experience was triggering and dismal, the outcome felt like the equivalent to rising from, yet acknowledging, the darker depths of ourselves.

We can still rise, despite whats 'tied' to us and our surroundings.
